The cabinet meeting held on Saturday has directed to discuss the modalities of lock-down in the high-level coordination committee on COVID-19 and make a recommendation to the cabinet. After the meeting, government spokesperson and Finance and Communications Minister Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada said that the risk of corona is not less, adding that where there is a risk, we will be strict. Where the risk is low, there may be some loosening.

According to spokesperson Khatiwada, the government has entrusted the Corona Prevention and Control High-Level Committee to decide on changing the modalities of lockdown. The government has been cracking down on the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19) as a global epidemic since March 26, 2020.

According to Khatiwada, the government has decided to hold talks with the two countries to check the movement of the border in accordance with the standards of the World Health Organization. Concluding that the risk of corona infection is increasing, the government has extended the lockdown till June 14 as recommended by the high-level committee.
