In the last 24 hours, tests in 27 laboratories across the country have confirmed corona infection in an additional 167 people. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the number of infected people has reached 17,344 so far.

According to the ministry, corona infection has been confirmed in 27 people in Dhanusha. Similarly, 17 cases have been confirmed in Nawalpur, 15 in Okhaldhunga, 14 in Kailali and Kanchanpur, 8/8 in Banke and Dadeldhura and 6/6 in Ilam and Dailekh.

4/4 from Jhapa, Sunsari and Achham, 3/3 from Morang, Makwanpur and Surkhet, 2/2 from Parsa, Baglung, Salyan and Jajarkot, and 1/1 people from Kathmandu, Udaipur, Bara, Syangja, Rupandehi, Pyuthan, Bardia, Dang, Rukum West. , Mugu and Bajhang had been tested corona positive.

In the last 24 hours, samples of 4,981 people were collected and tested using PCR method, said a spokesperson at a regular media briefing organized by the ministry. Jageshwar Gautam informed.

According to the ministry, 213 people recovered and were discharged during the same period. So far, the number of discharges has reached 11,249. Gautam said that the recovery rate was 64.85 percent.

According to Gautam, the number of infected people living in isolation is 6,056 and the number of people living in quarantine is 23,500.

Out of the total patients, 64.85 percent have recovered and returned home. According to the ministry, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Manang, Mustang and Humla are now free from corona infected.
