The National Examination Board has started discussions on the method of conducting the Class 12 exam 2077. The board has started discussions on the various options for conducting class 12 examinations and publishing the result.
The class 12 exam 2077 on Baisakh 8 was postponed due to the corona risk following the decision of the Corona Prevention and Control High-Level Coordinating Committee. A total of four lakhs 32 thousand students had applied for the class 12 examination in Nepal.

Earlier, the National Examination Board had published a notice on immediately after the end lockdown and stated that they were preparing to conduct the class 12 postponed examinations 2077 before the Dashain.

The failure to conduct the Class 12 examination on time and publish the results has affected the undergraduate programs of all the universities in Nepal. There is a demand from the people in this field as all the undergraduate programs including medicine, engineering (agriculture, forestry, management) will be affected and the academic session of the students will be affected.
Chairman of the National Examination Board (NEB), Chandra Mani Poudel, informed that continuous dialogue is being held with the government on conducting and certifying the examinations of class 12 students. The safety of the Nepali students continues to be the top priority of the board.
Discussions have been started on various options for conducting the examination of class 12 students and publishing the results. Some time ago, it was planned to complete the class 12 exam 2077 in the old way and publish the results before Dashain. But now that possibility has been ruled out. Now, as an alternative, discussions are underway to give the school the final right to evaluate the students just like in class 11.
He informed that they are engaged in discussions on how to open the exam option as there is a provision that students have to give the class 12 exam. For this, discussions have been started to take the class 12 exam 2077, again and again, to complete the examination process using online or other means and a decision will be taken soon.

Chairman of the Board Prof.Dr. Chandra Mani Poudel informed that discussions are being held on the conduct and certification of class 12 students. He said, “As the number of corona infections is increasing, the class 12 exam 2077 may not be held immediately, but now discussions are underway with the government on how to take the test and what method to adopt.”
He said that the school would be opened only after the government decides to open the school and to take the exam. He also informed that the internal assessment results of the SEE examination of class 10 will be published in the next two to three days.
