A workgroup led by Chairman of the National Examination Board Dr. Chandramani Paudel has recommended to conduct Secondary Education Examination (SEE) in the last week of Jestha(June).
In the report submitted by the workgroup to the Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel on Thursday, it is mentioned that the SEE examination can be conducted from the last week of June if the model of lockdown is different after 25 April. The source said, “The examination can be completed till July 30.”
It is also recommended to conduct SEE and Class 12 examinations at the same time (two shifts).
Now, the task force team has recommended to add more sub-centers and take security measures so that the candidates can reach the examination center by eating home-cooked food. Even so, some schools in Himalayan and hilly districts will be recognized as examination centers. “There will be no problem as the central chairperson and the inspector will not belong to the same school,” said a ministry official.
A total of four lakh 82 thousand 707 students will participate in the SEE examination. A total of 1,995 examination centers were scheduled to conduct the SEE examination on March 20. However, due to the corona virus (Covid-19), it was decided to postpone the SEE examination only on the evening of March 19.
