From this year, the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) will be taken again by the National Examination Board. The SEE exam grades were determined based on an internal assessment by schools due to the global epidemic last year.
SEE Exam 2078 Date
The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) of 2077 BS is scheduled to be conducted from Jesth 13 to Jestha 24.
Board Member Secretary Durga Prasad Aryal informed that the meeting of the National Examination Board has decided to conduct the examination from May 27 to June 7.
The upcoming SEE exam will be taken by the National Examination Board. The cabinet meeting held on January 10 had decided to take the SEE exam again by the board. It is mentioned in the decision of the Council of Ministers that the National Examination Board will make necessary arrangements for conducting, managing, publishing and verifying the results as per the previous cooperation with the state government regarding the SEE examination of Secondary Education (Class 10). .
Last year, due to the epidemic of Covid-19, the results were published based on the internal assessment done by the schools.
After the country went into federalism, the state government was given the responsibility of managing, conducting, monitoring and purchasing answer books for the SEE examination. However, due to the lack of law, the SEE examination of class 10 is still being conducted at the national level.
The government has not been able to formulate a clear law in this regard despite the provision that the SEE examination should be conducted at the state level.
The constitution has given the right to secondary education to the local government and in the education policy, the class 10 examination has been placed under the province.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung informed that the cabinet decided to conduct this year’s SEE exam 2078 from the central level.
The decision of the Council of Ministers states that the National Examination Board, in collaboration with the state government, will make necessary arrangements for conducting, managing, publishing and verifying the results of the SEE examinations of Secondary Education (Class 10).
According to the source of the ministry of education and technology class 10 SEE exams 2078 will be held in the mid of Ashar 2078, the students of SEE Class 10 have been waiting for their subject-wise exam routine to be announced. During the last announcement, the ministry of education and technology said that the exam schedule will follow in the days to come, however, there is no official confirmation on the same.
According to the new structure of the school sector, 8th class examination will be conducted at the municipal level, SEE exam at the state level and class 12 NEB exam at the national level.
Without confirming the date, an official notice on the website said that the date sheet for the SEE exam 2078 will be released soon. Students can keep an eye on the official website of NEB, i.e., neb.gov.np, and on the official social media handles of the National Examination Board to get neb exam notice 2078.
