The Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed that a second person has died of corona virus (Covid-19) in Nepal. At the same time, the death toll from Corona in Nepal has reached two.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the number of deaths due to corona infection has reached two after the death of a youth living in quarantine of Narainapur village in Banke district on Saturday night.
According to the ministry, the youth, who came from India and stayed in the quarantine set up at Dipendra Secondary School, died on Sunday morning. Ministry spokesperson Dr Bikas Devkota said that more details are yet to come.
The youths of Narainapur-5 had been in quarantine after coming from India on April 13.
The young man had vomiting around 3 pm. The locals informed the ambulance to take him to the hospital but the driver refused to take him to Nepalgunj as there was no PPE.
His swab was collected only on Saturday and taken for PCR test for Corona. He had respiratory problems while staying in quarantine. He died at 6:40 a.m. Sunday.
Security has been tightened in the presence of the Nepal Army following the death of a young man in Narainapur. Medical Superintendent of Bheri Hospital, Dr. Prakash Thapa, informed that discussions are underway on how to bury the body of the deceased.
On Saturday alone, the first death was confirmed in Nepal due to the corona virus infection. A 26-year-old pregnant woman of Sindhupalchowk died on Thursday.
