Nepal Covid-19 Updates: In the last 24 hours, 101 more people have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus (COVID-19) and one has died in various parts of Nepal.
According to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, corona was confirmed in 101 more people on Thursday and the number of infected people has reached 17,445.
During this period, samples of 4,688 people were tested in 27 laboratories across the country. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Lamjung has the highest number of 22 infected people.
Similarly, 13 cases of Rolpa, 10 cases of Bardiya, 8/8 cases of Rautahat and Dhanusha, 7 cases of Tanahun, 5 cases of Dang and 3/3 cases of Nawalpur and Bara have been confirmed.
Similarly, Corona infection has been reported in 2 persons from Jhapa, Morang, Parsa, Nuwakot and Bhaktapur and one each from Saptari, Makwanpur, Sindhuli, Kavre, Kathmandu, Palpa, Rupandehi, Salyan, Rukum West, Dadeldhura, Bajhang, and Doti.
Nepal Covid-19 Death Updates: The number of Nepal COVID-19 deaths due to coronavirus (Covid-19) infection in Nepal has reached 40. According to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jagesh Gautam, a 73-year-old man of Saptari district, Rajbiraj Municipality-1 has died of corona infection. He died on Thursday night he was suffering from diabetes and heart disease, Gautam said.
He was rushed to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan on July 16 for treatment of cough, fever, and respiratory problems. According to the ministry, he died while undergoing treatment on a ventilator after his health condition deteriorated. Even so, the number of deaths has been confirmed in Nepal so far.
Ministry spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam told a regular media briefing on Friday that 285 people had been discharged during the period. So far, the number of those discharged has reached 11,534. So far, the infection-free percentage is 66.12, the ministry said.
According to the ministry, 298,829 tests have been done by the PCR method till Friday, and 4,688 tests have been done in 24 hours. So far, 3 lakh 8 thousand 498 have been tested using RT PCR method.
At present, the number of infected people living in isolation is 5,871 and in quarantine it is 22,756, said Gautam.
