A record single-day spike of 1,359 cases has pushed Nepal’s coronavirus tally past the 44-thousands mark, the Health ministry and population showed. The total number of coronavirus cases now stands at 44,236.
Nepal witnessed 14 COVID-related deaths during the 24-hour period taking the total death count to 271. About 25 thousand patients have recovered from the infection in the country, pushing the recovery rate to 56 percent.
The number of active infected coronavirus cases is 18,404 across the country. There are 1,116 in Province No. 1, 752 in Province No. 2, 5,575 in Bagmati and 780 in Gandaki. Similarly, 1 Jahar 256 in Province No. 5, 461 in Karnali and 1,002 in Far-Western are undergoing treatment in institutional isolation across the country.
Similarly, there are 738 people in Home Isolation in Province No. 1, 3,757 in Province No. 2, 2,315 in Bagmati Province and 43 in Gandaki Province. Similarly, 419 people in Province No. 5, 39 people in Karnali Province and 151 people in Far Western Province have been infected with 7,462 people in home isolation across the country.
There are 5 in Province No. 1, 28 in Province No. 2, 90 in Bagmati Province, 5 in Gandaki Province, 20 in Province No. 5 and 3 in Karnali, and 151 infected people are being treated in ICUs across the country. Similarly, 3 in Province No. 1, 19 in Bagmati Province, and 4 in Province No. 5 and 26 infected people are being treated on ventilators. Today, there are 6,561 people in quarantine.
Nepal Coronavirus Cases Districtwise
A total of 13,638 samples tested in laboratories across the country confirmed the infection in 464 women and 895 men. The total number of coronavirus cases has reached 44,236.
According to the ministry, 454 people have been infected in the Kathmandu Valley alone. In Kathmandu, 386 coronavirus cases have been confirmed, 36 in Bhaktapur and 32 in Lalitpur.
Similarly, 7-7coronavirus cases in Kavre, Kapivalastu and Dang, 6 in Palpa, 5-5 in Nuwakot and Kanchanpur, 4-4 in Sindhupalchowk and Doti, 3-3 in Syangja, Darchula, Bajhang and Baitadi, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Rautahat, Dolakha, In Sindhupalchowk and Gulmi,2-2 people have been infected and in Udaipur, Siraha, Rasuwa, Myagdi, Baglung, Rukum East, Rukum West, Salyan and Achham.
Similarly, 82 from Chitwan, 80 from Sarlahi, 76 from Morang, 52 from Kailali, 49 from Sunsari, 48 from Banke, 46 from Mahottari, 44 from Rupandehi, 43 from Dhanusha, 28-28 from Jhapa and Nawalpur, 27 from Parsa, 26-26 from Saptari and Gorkha, 22 from Surkhet. Corona infection has been confirmed in 21-21 people in Bara and Jumla, 20 in Kaski, 19 in Dhading, 18 in Makwanpur, 14 in Bardiya, 13 in Ramechhap, 12 in Tanahun, 10 in Lamjung, and 9 in Dailekh.
Nepal Coronavirus Death Cases
Another 14 people have died due to corona infections. At the same time, the number of deaths due to infection in Nepal has reached 271 so far.
According to the spokerpersong of ministry of health and population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam,the deceased have been identified as four women and 10 men.
Three of the dead women are from Kathmandu. The deceased have been identified as 82, 67 and 22 year old women of Kathmandu and 35 year old women of Chitwan.
The deceased have been identified as 55-year-old from Saptari, 65-year-old from Dhanusha, 31-year-old from Kaski, 37-year-old from Nawalparasi, 58-year-old from Pyuthan, 78-year-old from Rupandehi, 63-year-old from Palpa, and 42-year-old from Surkhet.
7 lakh 45 thousand 490 tests have been done by PCR method. So far, 2,001 people in Province No. 1, 7,357 in Province No. 2, 2,067 in Bagmati Province and 1,717 in Gandaki Province have been declared infection-free. Similarly, 5,276 people in Province No. 5, 2,137 people in Karnali Province and 5,006 people in Far-Western Province have been infected and 25,561 people have been infected across the country.
