In the last 24 hours, tests conducted across the country have confirmed the corona infection in 210 people. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the total number of Nepal covid-19 cases has reached 19,273 as of Wednesday.

The infection was confirmed in 6,037 samples tested in laboratories across the country. Corona infection was seen in 353 people on Tuesday and 139 on Monday.

5,203 people are being treated in isolation in various hospitals across the country. Of them, 226 are being treated in isolation in Province No. 1, 1,982 in Province No. 2, 483 in Bagmati Province, and 288 in Gandaki Province. Similarly, there are 401 in isolation in Province No. 5, 302 in Karnali, and 1,521 in Far Western Province.

At a regular press briefing on Wednesday, Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that in the last 24 hours, 146 people have recovered from corona infection and returned home, bringing the total number of people recovering from corona to 14,021. 72.7 percent of the Nepal covid-19 cases have recovered. Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Rasuwa, Manang and Mustang became infection-free districts on Wednesday.

According to the ministry, 789 people have been discharged in Province No. 1, 3,018 in Province No. 2, 518 in Bagmati Province, and 1,227 in Gandaki Province. Similarly, 3,910 people have been discharged in Province No. 5, 1,686 in Karnali, and 2,873 in Far-Western. Till date, 358,344 cases have been tested using the PCR method.

The number of people in quarantine has reached 14,471. The death toll from the corona has risen to 49.
