Nepal Covid 19 new update: At a regular media Nepal COVID 19 cases briefing held by the ministry on Thursday, spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that the number of people infected with Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Nepal has reached 16,649.
According to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, the number of infected people has reached 16,649 in the last 24 hours.
The PCR reports of 108 on Thursday, 255 on Wednesday, 204 on Tuesday, and 180 on Monday were positive. According to the Ministry of Health, samples of 4,806 people have been tested in 25 PCR laboratories across the country.
According to the ministry, the most infected have been added in the Kathmandu district. In Kathmandu alone, corona infection has been confirmed in 28 people. 13 cases have been confirmed in Lalitpur, 11 in Surkhet, 8/8 in Sarlahi and Tanahu, 6 in Gulmi, and 4/4 in Dhanusha, Mahottari and Palpa.
Similarly, 2/2 cases have been confirmed from Ilam, Panchthar, Siraha, Kavre, Rautahat, Baglung, Nawalparasi and Dailekh and 1/1 corona infected have been added in Rasuwa, Doti, Chitwan, Banke, Bhaktapur, Ramechhap, Sindhuli, Sindhupalchok, Rupandehi, Makwanpur, Dhading, Kailali, Gorkha, Bajura, Dolpa, and Salyan.
A total of 740 cases of infection have been detected in Province 1; 4,262 cases in Province 2; 733 cases in Bagmati Province; 1,231 cases in Gandaki Province; 4009 cases in Province 5; 3,919 cases in Sudurpaschim Province and 1,637 cases in Karnali Province.
Gautam said that there was zero infection in six districts after all the infected people recovered. According to him, Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Solukhumbu, Mustang, Manang, and Humla have been declared infection-free.
As of Thursday, there were 16,531 infected people in Corona. This number has increased to 16,649 on Friday. There are 23,910 people in quarantines across the country.
In the last 24 hours, 120 people have been discharged. So far, 8,011 infected people have been cured. So far, 48.10 percent of those infected have recovered and 35 have lost their lives.
