Nepal COVID 19 cases: The number of people infected with coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in Nepal has reached 16,423.
According to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, 255 corona cases reports have come positive in the last 24 hours. The PCR report of 204 people was positive on Tuesday and the report of 180 people was positive on Monday.
A total of 720 cases of infection have been detected in Province 1; 4,210 cases in Province 2; 684 cases in Bagmati Province; 1,193 cases in Gandaki Province; 3,984 cases in Province 5; 3,793 cases in Sudurpaschim Province and 1,584 cases in Karnali Province.
The number of Corona Free Districts has reached five. Corona infection had spread to 77 districts of the country. According to Gautam, Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Solukhumbu, Humla, and Mustang are free from infection.
After all the infected people have been removed, those districts have become infection-free. Similarly, Mahottari, Rautahat, Palpa, Achham, Kailali, and Bajura are among the more than 500 infected districts.
In the last 24 hours, 4,696 samples have been tested using PCR method. Till now, 25,040 people are in quarantine.
Eight thousand six hundred and thirty-two people are being treated in isolation. In the last 24 hours, 253 people have been discharged. The total number of those discharged is 7,752, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The death toll from the corona infection has risen to 35. At present, 8,636 people in Nepal are in isolation for treatment of corona infection.
