Demonstrations in support of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli have taken place at various places in Kathmandu Valley. Participants youth in the demonstration chanted slogans in favor of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and warned party leaders not to play the game of toppling a government.
Protests have been going on in favor of Prime Minister Oli after a majority of members of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN-UML) demanded his resignation from both the posts of Prime Minister and Chairman.
Demonstrations in support of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli were staged at various places in the Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday.
Participants in the demonstration have staged demonstrations in Koteshwar, Chawhil, Gangabu, Kalanki, Asanand Lagankhel in the capital. They have taken to the streets carrying placards saying the country does not need instability and the government cannot be overthrown.
People addressing the rally stressed the need of unity among all in the fight against coronavirus pandemic instead of calling for the PM’s resignation. The protesters have asked in the play card, “Is Oli’s resignation for India or for Nepal?”
They staged a street demonstration carrying a banner with a photo of Prime Minister Oli saying, “‘Stop the Foreign Interference’, ‘Limpiyadhura, Lipulek, and Kalapani are Ours” and “I am with KP Oli”. They have also taken to the streets carrying play cards saying, “Not today, not tomorrow, stable government to Oli”, “Stop the heavy needle against the government” and the bargaining method.

Controversy has erupted within the CPN (Maoist) after Prime Minister Oli said that conspiracies were being hatched in embassies and hotels to topple his government after Nepal published its new political map incorporating the Kalapani-Limpiyadhura region encroached by the southern neighbor at a program organized on the occasion of Madan Bhandari’s birthday.
