Coronavirus Updates Nepal: Nepal reported 899 new coronavirus infections on Monday, slightly fewer than the previous day. With the record surge, the total cases in the country now stand at 39,460, according to the data released by the Ministry of Health and Population Nepal.
An additional 7 new deaths brought the overall death count to 228, it said. 21,410 patients have recovered from the infection in the country, taking the recovery rate to 54 percent. There are 17822 active coronavirus cases in the country currently.
Coronavirus Updates Nepal by District Wise
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, samples of 11,129 people were tested using PCR during this period. In Kathmandu Valley, 186 people have been infected with coronavirus. Corona infection has been confirmed in 155 people in Kathmandu, 19 people in Lalitpur, and 12 people in Bhaktapur.
Similarly, 83 people from Sarlahi, 73 from Parsa, 57 from Chitwan, 49 from Dhanusha, 31 from Morang, 29 from Lamjung, 26 from Mahottari and 26 from Bajhang, 24 from Susanari, 23 from Nawalpur, 22 from Siraha, 21 from Bara and 21 from Baitadi, 20 from Jhapa and Banke. Corona infection has been confirmed in 20 people, 19 each in Dhankuta, Kavre, Dang and Kailali, 17 in Kanchanpur, 16 in Rukum East, 10 in Nawalparasi and Surkhet and 9/9 in Dhading and Makwanpur.
Similarly, 5 people from Rautahat, 3 people from Sankhuwasabha, 3 people from Kaski and 3 people Darchula, 2 people from Saptari and 2 people Kapilvastu and 1 each people from Ilam, Dolakha, Sindhupalchowk, Gulmi, Jajarkot, Jumla, Dailekh and Rukum West have been infected with coronavirus.
The number of active infected people is 17,822. Of them, 1,287 are in Institutional Isolation in Province No. 1, 2,062 in Province No. 2, 4,408 in Bamgati Province and 530 in Gandaki Province. Similarly, there are 1,173 in Province No. 5, 396 in Karnali Province and 845 in Far-Western Province and 10,701 people are in institutional isolation across the country.
